Hey Ali, great to meet you. Can you first introduce yourself and your business?

‍I am Ali Garced and I live in Tucson, Arizona. That's where the military took me. I served active duty Air Force for a decade, and now I'm a full time realtor.

‍How long have you been on social media?

‍I've used social media for a long time as a consumer since the public was able to get Facebook around 2006. And now that I am running a business, 92% of my clients comes from social media. It's everything for me, like I live on social media now.

‍When did you start focusing on short videos?

‍I got my license two years ago in mid 2021. And I feel like that's when there was a really big push towards short form content. But I was doing it the hard way. I was creating all sorts of short form videos, when I could have just been using the long form video, chopping that up and then use shorts to have consistent posts. But now that I have Opus, it's easier. My goal is to post one Instagram Reel every day in 2023. And so far so good. Now I'm also focused back on my long form videos, because I find a lot of the clients are coming to me through YouTube, and it's a lot higher conversion rate, because they are purposely searching "best realtor in Tucson" or similar topics. But of course when they search for it, they can also find those shorts on TikTok, Instagram, Threads, and other platforms.

How did you edit your short videos in the past?

‍I was paying for an editor to manually edit the video and add background, sound, captions and other things to it. And now that there's Opus that helps, I don't need to have to pay for a VA to chop up those short form videos. How did you first find out about Opus Clip?It was actually from a real estate investing conference in Phoenix. In the conference, a speaker did a whole session on AI, and he mentioned that Opus was one of the best tools that he uses to increase his social media presence without any more effort on his end. So I was like, "Oh man, what's that? Let me look into that today."

And I love it. Opus is increasing my social media presence. It took a lot of time for me to do it by myself and I hired two assistants to help me out with just my social media. And now with Opus, I'm able to repurpose my podcasts and turn them into shorts myself, and put them on 6, 7 different platforms.

What is the biggest value you think Opus Clip has brought?

‍The time saved. Now that Opus can take a long form videos into shorts easily, I don't have to manually chop up the best segments. And I can just rely on Opus's algorithm, because it ranks every clip with a score and tells you the reason. I can just use those clips and have one Reel to post every single day. How much time did you spend on video editing in the past versus now?

‍Well, I actually don't know how long it took my editor to edit, but it was taking me about an hour just to look through my own videos to find the best segments and post on all the 7 social media platforms. That took a long time. But now it takes maybe several minutes for Opus to download everything and decide what the best clips are. So now I can have more time to do those money-making appointments.

‍What is your secret sauce for your continued growth on social media?

‍It really ends up being just how much value can you give. The more value you give, the faster you grow. And it sounds corny and everyone says it, but it's very true. A lot of my content is educational, and that's where I find to have the best conversion, because I'm already educating them, so the future clients that reach out to me already know the type of person I am. They've already seen me through social media. They're already comfortable working with me and I don't have to sell them on me, and it just ends up being a smoother transaction overall.
